Hi! I’m Alex, the person behind Carter Tate Photography, and I’m so excited that you’re here. If I had to sum up what I love most about being a photographer, it’s this: I get to capture moments that are real, beautiful, and completely unique to each couple. And trust me, that never gets old.
What truly lights me up about being a wedding photographer is the connection. I get to witness two people committing to a lifetime together, surrounded by the people they love the most. There’s nothing more meaningful than capturing that bond. And then there’s the creativity—photography lets me tell stories in a way that’s visually compelling and emotionally impactful. It’s my job to make sure that when you look at your wedding photos, you’re instantly transported back to the best day of your life.
Most of all, I want you to feel like you’ve had a fun, easy, and memorable experience. I’m here to help make your day stress-free and full of joy, so you can focus on what really matters—celebrating your love.
How I Got Here
I first fell in love with photography back in high school. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and it wasn’t long before I realized I wanted to do this for a living. I started out on film, which gave me a deep respect for the art and a fresh perspective on capturing the world. Today, I’ve blended that respect with my creative eye to tell authentic stories—your story.

BEHIND THE LENS
-I'm married to my best friend, we've been together for 10 years and we are living our best life with our tiny human
-I'm an Army brat, so I love doing any and all things that keep me out of the house
-Give me all the romance/thriller/horror books and fluffy blankets
-True crime documentaries/podcasts are my thing
-Don't get me started on farm animals and all their cuteness
-I love all things film, vintage, 70s-90s music

Working with me isn’t just about getting great photos—it’s about the experience. I want you to feel like you’re hanging out with a friend who just happens to be there with a camera, making sure everything runs smoothly and, most importantly, making sure you’re having fun. I take care of all the details, so you can focus on enjoying your day without stressing about the little things.
You can expect a relaxed and fun atmosphere where we don’t rush through things. I’m not about posing every shot perfectly—I’m here to capture the real moments, the raw emotions, and the little details that make your day so special. From the way your partner looks at you during your first look, to the joyful chaos of the dance floor, I’ll be there to catch it all.
